[Variety] SNSD Dangerous Boys - Ep 8

Jessica introduced Jisoo to Kim Johan and asked a favor to give Jisoo some pointers since he also want to become a singer.  We get to hear Jisoo sing and he's really good!  I love his deep rough singing voice just like Sistar Hyorin's. =)  Hwihoon told Seohyun that he would like to become a bodyguard to protect people.  It's really wonderful to see these boys finally having dreams.~

Tiffany invited them to her musical and Kyungkyu prepared flowers and energy drink for her, so sweet! =)  She even brought Eunhyuk to cheer them on and a surprise birthday cake for Kyungkyu's birthday. ^^

Kyungkyu and Hwihoon had a fight so they went to "court" to settle it, lol! XD  Kyungkyu's attorneys are Sunny and Tiffany, while Hwihoon's attorneys are Taeyeon and Yuri.  Kyungkyu got angry because Hwihoon kept throwing pillows at him and ended up damaging properties.  Watching the clip, it does look like Hwihoon went overboard with his joking.  We know Kyungkyu had problems with anger management but he surprisingly held it in for quite a while.  In the end, I'm just glad that they know what they did wrong and are willing to correct their bad habits.  Sunny is really funny, gotta love her! ^^

[Variety] SNSD Dangerous Boys - Ep 7

SNSD watch the boys' daily lives together with the boy they're mentoring.  First up is sleepy head Jisoo.^^  We see his mom waking him up for school, and she said he had become nicer to her after joining the program.  I'm really happy to see that Jisoo's improving. =)

Next is Kyungkyu, we see him working hard in practicing their dance for the Street Jam competition.  We first see Yonghyun visiting his grandfather in the hospital, but the next thing we see is him in a noraebang. =S  I think he's having a hard time changing because of his friends.  Making excuses is a habit that he can't change that easily and because he can mask things behind those excuses, it's harder to help him. =(

Hwihoon still hangs out with his friends but the difference with him is, he's influencing his friends to become better unlike Yonghyun who is dragged back to old habits by his friends.  Hwihoon so cute being shy and can't look at Seohyun in the eye. =P  Sunghwa is studying hard at school.  I actually expected it from him and I'm glad that he didn't disappoint. =)

I'm tearing up while watching Yonghyun leave and the others try their best to make him come back.  I'm feeling sad for Yonghyun but at the same time touched at how far the other 4 have grown up.  I really wish Yonghyun will find enlightenment and become a better person, a truly happy person.

The 4 decided to continue even without Yonghyun.  They each went individually to meet their mentor.  Sooyoung brought Kyungkyu to a Kendo school.  Sunny brought Sunghwan to meet Dynamic Duo.  Seohyun brought Hwihoon to her university.  Jessica brought Jisoo to meet her voice instructor.

Sunny with Suzy visited Yoochiri, their farm in IY season 1.  They went to see Road Lee and headman Wang Gu and even Chief Noh was there.  They're inviting them to join their housewarming party.

They check out their new house and it's really nice! =)  They each brought personal items to barter in the village for things they need around the house.  The members left in the house are assigned to cook for the guests while the others leave to barter their stuffs and invite the villagers to "Idol House" housewarming party. ^^

[Variety] SNSD Dangerous Boys - Ep 6

We see the boys take lessons from professionals to help them improve themselves.  After lessons, it's play time with SNSD. ^^  They're playing a quiz game similar to Jeopardy and the winner will get a bicycle.  I'm liking Jisoo and Huihoon, they're always smiling and seems more relaxed now. =)

Next, it's SNSD's turn to play do the quiz game but their questions will be about the boys.  The girls are playing for sweet & sour pork.  The look on the girls' faces upon seeing food is so funny, lol!  SME, are you letting these girls eat at all? =P

I'm really happy to see the boys working hard for their dance.  And I love their diary 10 years from now, it shows so much hope and I wish they will keep that light of hope in their hearts as they go along their lives.~

Veteran comedians proved themselves worthy to be called veterans because they sure can make any simple situation into a funny one without forcing it at all. ^^ Rookie actress Jin Seyeon is said to be a Yoona look-a-like and even Song Chae Hwan's daughter became popular because of being called "Little Yoona".

Sayuri is a Japanese that used to be a part of a TV program with a panel of ladies of different nationalities but all living in Korea. She's one of my favorite because she's so 4D and so funny. ^^ Seo Gyeong Suk performed the song he wrote for his wife that he sang in their wedding. It's a really cute song. =) They showed a clip of Hongki from Hot Brothers where it shows how bad his hearing is and it's so funny, LOL! XD He also talked about his love for nail art.

[Variety] SNSD Dangerous Boys - Ep 5

The teacher asked the boys to trace their hands and write the things they would like to hear in one hand, and things they don't like to hear on the other.  They were asked to read out each on their session with SNSD.  Hearing the words these boys read out makes me want to cry.  They've been hurt by words thrown to them, but no one was there to make them understand and erase that pain. T_T

Next they show the boys the dance that they will be performing in the competition.  I love their choreographer hyung, he seems to genuinely care for the boys and acts like a real hyung to them.  He's strict when he has to be, but shows love when it counts. =)  I also like the message by the other choreographer, "Succeeding isn't happiness, but happiness means success."

I think it would have been better if they aired the show after the whole season has been recorded.  That way, the boys will not be affected by what they see on air and make the whole process of therapy and healing be more effective and real.  The way the PDs are editing the show is more for ratings and variety, it loses the most important factor of the show which is to actually help the kids become better individuals.

[Variety] Happy Together S3 - Episode 227

It's National Singer special.  G4 is present again to introduce the guests.  Beomgyun really look like Jaesuk, they're like long lost brothers, lol! XD  Kim Junho kept on asking him to do things and the hoobae gagmen start to protest, saying he's acting like a circus trainer, LOL! =P

Seohyun and her stick to the rules personality, lol!  She's the only member who actually adheres to their punctuality rule so she often nags them about it. ^^  Since last week, they have a new game for the water segment.  This week, G4 asks questions answerable by yes or no, if the guest can't answer within 3 seconds, they get shot by water guns.

The girls are challenging the boat to catch crabs. Even the 1N2D guys hate it when they hear the word "boat" because they get sea sick, so will the girls be able to overcome it? ^^

Amber so cute saying her "ppuing ppuing", she's going to learn Korean faster this way so I hope the show lasts for a long time. =) They caught crabs, halibut, conch, sting ray, and many other sea creatures. The girls seem to be enjoying the experience.

They played a quiz game and the winning team gets to eat halibut sashimi. They then compared their catch and the one with the bigger crab wins. The losing team sells their crabs in the market. At night they plan a housewarming party.

Boom called Lee Dong Wook on the phone that got the girls all excited.^^ They then starts to choose things they need for their house like blankets, hygiene items, refrigerator, karaoke machine, etc.

[Variety] Beatles Code w/ SNSD

SNSD members except for Yoona are all present. The show usually invites different guests and find things in common among them, what they called "parallel lives". But with SNSD's number, I guess they don't need any more guests. ^^ It's funny that they match them with a unicorn, nine-tailed fox and teletubbies, LOL! XD

Hyoyeon got her chance at the spotlight recently because the group is finally over with the cute concept which according to her is not her style. Funny how they become defensive at the mention of age of the new girl groups, keke. =P Most of them are turning 24 in Korean age this year which is marrying age for most Korean girls I guess? Because everyone's worried for the late 20's girls that aren't married yet like it's the end of the world, so I assume people expect them to have been married in their early 20's.

On the issue about fighting, it's interesting to know who among the girls fought. Most recent are Taeyeon and Tiffany, Hyoyeon and Jessica, Hyoyeon also fought with Sooyoung and Tiffany before. Taeyeon is jealous of Seohyun because she got a good looking husband while she got Jung Hyungdon, LOL! XD

[Variety] SNSD Dangerous Boys - Ep 4

The boys were given money to buy Christmas tree, card and spend the rest for their food. They came back, set up and decorate the tree themselves. I get scared every time I see the boys get violent, it's like they suddenly turn into someone else. =S

Their choreographer let them meet little girls who dance "The Boys" really well to teach them. I think it's cute that they chose younger girls this time to interact with the boys, I guess it gives them the feeling of being the "oppa" to make them more responsible. =) It makes me teary eyed watching them work hard and develop into better people. I love Hyoyeon, her comment after watching the boys dance shows that she's really proud of the work the boys put into it.

They show us the boys going through "mind therapy". It gives us a peek on what's going on inside the boys' minds, what's bothering them, and what they need to heal their emotional scars. Yonghyun seems to have given up already and don't know how to believe again. Kyungkyu has so much hatred caused by a broken family. Hoihoon lacks somebody to encourage him on which made him lose confidence. Jisoo chose to block out things he doesn't like which makes it harder to help him. Seonghwan is timid caused by being bullied, he feels small and weak.

Reflection and self-realization is the greatest form of happiness in life. People who have meaning in their lives live longer. The boys also read out the cards they wrote for the girls. ^^

They invited the teacher (she's a psychologist I think) to help them communicate better between mentor and student. Their first activity is "Art Therapy". They're asked to draw and the drawings will reveal what they stress about or what their deepest emotions are. I love this kind of psychology test because it's very honest and the result can help us understand ourselves better. =)

First, they were asked to draw a person that comes to mind and next is to draw what their families would be doing right that time. Hyoyeon drew her dad but end up crying because it made her realize that she doesn't know her dad's heart that well. Seohyun drew herself standing really straight and her ideal guy also very straight, LOL! XD (Please forgive me from spazzing, but doesn't the guy look like Yong? =P) The results for the boys were explained to them individually together with their mentors. They're very interesting and insightful.

They watched the video of the boys in the dorm and counted the number of times they swore. I can't believe anybody can spit out 6 straight swears in a sentence, and they're using really strong horrible swears too. =X 174 swear words in a day?! =( To address the problem, they thought of reward and punishment for those who will follow or break the rules.

[Variety] SNSD Dangerous Boys - Ep 2

Since this show got good response from my blog's visitors, I thought I'd post episode 2 at once, so enjoy! =)

As suggested by the professional, they're going to teach the boys to dance, and the goal is to compete in the Street Jam competition. It's really nice to see the girls exerting extra effort to make the boys feel comfortable. =) Their first assignment is to practice the steps for "The Boys".

The boys will live together in one dorm for 10 weeks, so Seohyun laid down the rules. ^^ Cigarettes and alcohol are banned, take out swearing, leaving without permission is also banned, internet, TV, and mobile phones are only allowed from 8pm to 11pm. They also added that they should keep promises.

They chose a leader through voting and made them think of a chant too. The girls visit the boys whenever they can to talk with them and play. This time, they played table tennis and food they'll get will depend on how good they do on the game.

I think the fact that the boys agreed to join the show is a good sign that they're willing to change. So I'm really looking forward to seeing some growth and improvement in them as the show progresses. =)

[Variety] SNSD Dangerous Boys - Ep 1

A show with SNSD mentoring troubled boys. The girls were gathered to watch what the boys are like before they meet them. This will help them know the boys so they will know how to approach them when they finally get introduced.

The 1st boy is Hwang Yonghyun, a problem student, uses foul language and talks back to the teacher. The 2nd boy is Park Kyungkyu, a high school drop out and capable of violence. 3rd boy is Kim Seonghwan, wants to do music and doesn't want to study. 4th boy is Kim Hwehoon, doesn't have a dream and just wants to play. 5th boy is Goo Jisoo, doesn't like restrictions. 4 of them smokes and drinks only Seonghwan doesn't.

Seohyun is really unhappy watching the boys, she's so pure that she thinks there can't be naturally bad people. I'm sad to let her know that in the real world, there are really bad people out there, scary people who chose to be bad. =(

The boys need to have dreams to work hard but I think that's the most difficult. Good thing they're are still young, the girls still have a big chance of successfully helping them find their dreams, they're SNSD after all, the dream of every man, young or old. ^^

They formed into teams and chose a boy to help for each team. Taeyeon and Seohyun picked Hwehoon, Jessica and Yuri picked Jisoo, Yoona and Hyoyeon picked Yonghyun, Tiffany and Sooyoung picked Kyungkyu, and Sunny picked Seonghwan. I think Yonghyun and Jisoo are pretty nice. Hwehoon and Seonghwan don't talk much. As for Kyungkyu, I think his family issue is the biggest barrier he has to overcome.

[Variety] Radio Star w/ SNSD

Guests are musical singers Park Haemi, SNSD's Taeyeon, Jessica and Tiffany, and Im Taekyung. I first saw Im Taekyung in Immortal Song and he really is good singer. And I like it that Park Haemi battle it out with the hosts who seem to like teasing her a lot. ^^

SNSD answered issues and some rumors that came out in the news. First is Taeyeon spacing out during an interview in America. There's also the Jessica and Taecyeon dating rumors. They also asked about the time Taeyeon got dragged by a crazy fan who went up the stage while SNSD was performing. This one I haven't heard of, that Taeyeon and Tiffany fight during their Japan concert.

The girls' dream is so simple, just to have a happy family. Like saying they just want to get married and raise their kids. Just then the only married woman on the show butt in with, "but that's the hardest thing to get", LOL! XD Reality bites. =P

In the previous episode we got to see the girls catching octopus. Boom team who lost are now going to sell them and then go back to cook the octopus soup for everyone. The headman assigned each girl a task, and lucky SNSD that they get to do the easy tasks because the headman likes them. ^^

While Boom team is cooking, Hyunwoo team thought of preparing rice cakes for Jiyoung who will be taking the entrance exams the next day. Suzy being the maknae gets to do the hard tasks, but she still did everything with a smile. =)

After dinner, they gather around the campfire. They put their troubles on paper and they will all help to solve them. Concerns like how to be attractive to men, idols just wanting to get married early, how to be good in Korean language, crush over Song Joonki, complex on physical looks, laminated teeth, how to be good in variety, how to act cute and pretty. I think this is a good start for the girls to know each other better. ^^

I think it's cool that they admit to their complexes, specially them being girl idols which are subject of criticisms when it comes to their looks. But when they try to fix something to gain more confidence and look prettier, they got criticized again for being plastic beauties. I just wish people will just get off the girls' backs and like them as how they are because they're all pretty in their own way. =)

I read somewhere that the show is suffering from low ratings, I really wish it will last long. I would like to know each girl better and see the real girl behind the image they have on stage. =)

[Variety] Birth of a Family - Episode 1

It's a new variety show about taking care of stray dogs. The opening story is so touching, just like what they say, dogs love unconditionally.~ The staffs fetched the hosts from their house and on their way to the shelter threw some trivia. I'm surprised that there were 89,000 dogs abandoned in Korea in 2009 alone. And after 10 days and nobody claimed the stray dogs, they're "put to sleep", does that mean they mercy kill the dogs? =(

They also invited idols to volunteer in walking and playing with the dogs in the shelter. We see 4Minute's Hyuna and Sohyun enjoying the company of the dogs. They also tell viewers the story of how the dogs were found.

The staff posted photos of the dogs in the KBS building to promote their adoption. They are holding auditions to those who would be willing to adopt a dog to see if they will fit to be their new family. We get to see singers like Secret, Infinite, SNSD, FT Island, Maybee, Kan Miyeon checking out the dog pictures. Some even went to the audition like Sistar, Infinite, Mblaq, Secret, A Pink, and lots of gagmen.

[Variety] Invincible Youth S2 - Episode 2

They're spending the day in a mudflat and the task is to catch an octopus. The girls were fetched from their house/dorm by Hyunwoo in one team and Boom in the other team. They went there to wake the girls up and catch them bare faced to show the viewers their natural look.

Suzy, Jiyoung and Bora all look pretty without make-up. =) It's the first time for some of them to wear farm clothes so they chose a best dressed girl. At the mudflat, the girls learn how to catch octopus. They next played a game to get a goby, it's a fish that the octopus like. It can help them catch more octopuses.

It's really nice to see the girls enjoying and not afraid of getting dirty at all. And they all seem to be getting along well too and becoming closer. ^^

[Variety] Invincible Youth S2 - Episode 1

It's Invincible Youth Season 2!!! I'm happy with the new G8 and hope to enjoy the new season as much as I enjoyed the first. =) While Soo Geun is watching in the monitor, the members came one by one and each were to do a mission for the next girl to guess.

They're call time is early morning to everyone came from home. The two who debuted the latest, Rainbow's Woori and Jewelry's Yewon even brought energy drinks and snacks for the girls.^^ The girls are divided into 2 teams. They will have to complete missions to receive the 7 treasures. Sadly, Suzy has to leave for Seoul so she can't join the girls.

The missions range from making the baby laugh, fruit seed on the face, shaking sesame seeds, speed quiz, karaoke challenge, cook seafood pancake, multiplication game. And the treasures are chicken, seaweeds, photo, baby octopus, mic, grapes, salt.

It's their first episode so the girls are still adjusting to each other. I'm looking forward to the future episodes, and I gotta say, I love Amber! =) I also love it that they kept the ending sequence they do in the first season where they show pretty shots of the episode with the back ground music, super love it! ^_^

[Variety] Dream Team - SNSD Olympics

All nine members of Korea's most popular girl group, SNSD came together to compete against each other in Dream Team's "SNSD Olympics". =) The overall winner will receive a free trip to Europe with her parents.

For the olympics, they will be given points for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placers. 1st game is 200m Power Walking. 2nd game is Tower Stacking. 3rd game is Iron Bar Wrestling. Final game is Survival Capture the Flag game.

It's a really entertaining episode! We get to see the girls' competitive side and see who is the most active and sporty.
