[Variety] Heroes - Episode 28

Ballot boxes were set up in Busan to determine who will go to the popular and unpopular teams. ^^  The top team will ride a limousine to the hotel while the bottom team will take the subway. 

The girls are going to be hotel staffs, from being receptionists, chamber maids, porters, doorman, each will do different task and will be judge on their performance.  They learned the basics of good service from the greetings, gestures when pointing directions, usage staff elevator, and paths for staffs only.

They all change clothes, the bottom team into maid uniforms, the top team into receptionists, bellmen and doormen.  Inspectors taught them the step by step way to clean a room and all the steps needed to be done when a customer arrives.  I'm surprised that Inyoung actually cleaned the toilet, she's really one strong girl. ^^

[Variety] Happy Together S3 - Episode 228

It's Happy Together Christmas Party! =)  They each brought a gift and choose a person to give their gift to, it's like an exchange gift where they enter the room one by one and put their gift in the person's stocking.^^  Jaesuk received red long johns from Kim Junho and he expressed how thankful he is for all his help.  Our National MC took care of yet another hoobae, he really is a great guy. =)

IU mentioned that she would want to get married when she becomes an adult which is 20 years old in Korea because she doesn't want to go through cycles of dating and break ups, and she'll end up married anyway so might as well get married at once.  I'm really surprised with young idols in Kpop, their goal in life seem to be "to get married and have a family", all of them says the same thing.  And they all seem to want to get married as soon as possible. =P

[Variety] Heroes - Episode 27

The 2nd part of the smart phone movie episode is here! ^^ 1st movie is "The Uninvited Guest" directed by Narsha and written by Yoo In Na, and 2nd is "Towards the Sky" directed by Lee Jin and written by Hong Soo Ah.

The girls all worked hard to film their movie. They have to overcome the freezing cold, the limited time and resources, and most of all their laughter. =P After filming and editing, they showed the movie to director Lee Hojae to critique it and advice them how to make it better. The director will also help them clean up their movie to make it look better and more watchable.

[Variety] Win Win w/ IU

IU is considered Korea's little sister because she's loved by many, specially by samchon fans. I personally think she deserves all the love she's receiving because she's not only cute and pretty but she's also very talented, nice and really works hard that you can't help but love her. =) And after watching her talk about her story here, I love her even more. <3

The plastic surgery issue was asked again but she denied it. She lost 10kg from debut, that would surely make a lot of difference in her look. After singing for the first time on stage, she knew she has to be a singer. She's very determined and went to auditions all by herself. It was interesting to know that YG don't conduct lots of auditions so she didn't get to try there, while SM is more on looks which she didn't have much confidence in so she also didn't try there. Too bad for JYP, they cut her off.

I'm so glad that her voice didn't fit the other girls in her company so she wasn't put in a girl group. In a girl group music world, she succeeded with her own voice.~ She grew up with her grandma because both her parents are very busy. They were well off but because her mom is very generous, she gave loan guarantees to relatives so when one run away, all their properties were seized. During those times, she preferred to stay in the dorm than go home.

IU's a very strong girl and her grandma raised her well. She's very matured and cheerful even after experiencing hardship in life. She's good friends with Jiyeon, Suzy and Luna. Suzy and Yoo Inna came as her special guests. IU so cute hitting Suzy's bottom because she said she's not the guest when she asked her that day. ^^

I often feel bad for IU whenever I see her alone in award shows where idol groups all stick together. So I'm really happy to know that she's good friends with some idols now. =) I love what she said at the end, she's not aiming to be the biggest singer in Korea, she just wants to be filled with happiness so that when people see her, they'll know that she's truly happy. ^_^

[Variety] Heroes - Episode 26

Their mission is to make their own movie, from production, script writing, directing, editing, to acting, all done by the girls themselves. They will film a 7-10 minute movie using a smart phone to submit to the "Smart Phone Movie Festival".

One member from each team were assigned to write the script. The theme for popular team is thriller, while it's melodrama for the unpopular team. They asked a real film director to come and learn about making film and asked for tips and techniques in shooting a good movie.

The girls continue to deliver the mails and giving helping hand to the grandamas. IU cleaned the electric fan but unfortunately, it broke when Bongsun was trying to put it back in place so they have to buy a new one. The others help with removing plastic on the farm.

They prepared a banquet for the elders the next day and also some singing and dancing to entertain them. The team that get recognized by the elders the most will get to go home first. They also taught the elders some new words that the kids in Korea uses nowadays. This is to help them communicate with their grandchildren better.

IU cried while saying goodbye to the grandmas because she misses her grandmother too. T.T And the unpopular team went to the post office to send the packages that were asked to be sent and even went to Jeollado themselves to deliver the kimchi made by the grandma for her grandson. =)

The girls are delivering mails and giving assistance to the elderly. They'll have to work hard to be recognized by the older generation. IU is taking the punishment for their loss the previous week, she has to wear a rabbit mascot costume. She's so cute! ^^

By being postmen for a day, the village postman can get some rest and they will also visit the village seniors to help them with house chores. =) They did various of chores from moving sacks of rice, helping to write letters, prepare kimchi, replacing plastic covering to keep the cold away, change the lights, fix the refrigerator, wipe the fan.

The girls come together to talk about subjects they can share to the high school students. Each threw in topics that they have experience in from part time jobs, to make-up tutorials, blind dates, diet, cooking, etc. Each of them prepare the lesson they think would benefit the kids most.

Each team chose 3 members to give the lecture. For the popular team, IU's lecture is "I may be young but please don't look down on me", Inna's lecture is "20 years old, are you prepared to get hurt?" and Narsha's lecture is "How to do your part time jobs well". And for the unpopular team, Inyoung's lecture is "Everything about make-up", Gahee's lecture is "No talent can beat hard work", and Soo Ah's lecture is "I still have a dream".

I think the topics they thought of are really useful for the students. They can learn what they have to face after high school from the people who experienced them first hand. =)

The new challenge the girls are taking is to become special teachers to high school graduating students. They have to prepare their own lesson plan and decide on what they wish to impart to the students to make their school year more memorable.

To understand the students better and help the teachers in preparing their lesson, they had a one on one talk with them. They raised their concerns and asked questions that they wanted help from.

With the lunch time coming to a peak, the cook and servers are all very tired. Add to that all the complaints coming from the customers from burnt onions, salty soup, under cooked noodles or too much garlic taste in the sauce, the girls get more stressed out. After watching them, we get to appreciate the food we order from the restaurants after seeing how hard the chefs work to make the food delicious.

It's nice to see Nicole still able to smile even if she's really tired from cooking all the tonkatsu. Gahee also showed calmness in the chaos, she's the unnie but she accepted the job of being the assistant to all the cooks. As for the servers, Hongchul was able to entertain the guests. The maknaes IU and Jiyeon showed their cuteness and humility towards the customers. Everyone worked hard and for that, I commend them all. =)

They did a half way count after lunch was served to see which team made more money. The secret power blogger also judged the service and food of both teams, the team he chose will get 10% of the earnings of the other team. They have to do everything again at dinner time. Will they be able to handle it again?

The girls will have their restaurants open from 11am to 7pm. It's a charity event to they will have to get as much as 200 guests to collect more donations. There will also be secret guests who will evaluate their food and service.



I'm worried for No Hong Chul's team because none of them knows how to cook at all. They went early to the market to buy their ingredients. The girls also called up their friends to come and be a part of their charity restaurant event. IU called Yoo Seung Ho! I totally love the boy! ^^ Nicole is a total fan, she's so cute when she heard Seungho's voice. =)



It's so nice to see celebrities coming to give support to their friends. =) Kim Soo Ro came together with his co-actors for Jiyeon. ZE:A came for their company senior So Inyoung. They even help out in serving the customers.^^

Variety] Immortal Song 2 - Episode 1

This show started airing last June. I didn't watch it much before but when they started to add new singers and even guests, I think it had become more interesting. =)

Singers: IU, Yesung, Changmin, Hyorin, Jonghyun, Yoseob.

They started with 6 idols that will compete against each other. The show is trying to show the viewers that idols are good singers too and can challenge singing songs of the legends. Their first challenge is to sing the song that inspired them to become a singer.

While one is singing, the others will be in the room watching and give scores. The final result will be determined by the total of all their votes. The winner will be given the priority to choose the legend's song they want to sing. Everyone did great, they are called their groups' vocalists for a reason. =)

After the first competition, they're introduced to the first legend they are going to sing, singer-song writer, Sim Soo Bong. For the main competition, the 200 people from the audience will be their judge, including Wheesung and Lyn.

I love the show's closing, it's what I loved about Invincible Youth too. =)

[Variety] Heroes - Episode 19

Our ladies are going to experience the citizens voting first hand, live! Cut outs of themselves were placed in the street and voting started early morning until the members come. Even Hongchul and Hwijae were concerned that this method might be too much for the girls, it's pretty ruthless but I think this will help in the members' characters. =)



IU is really popular! Who wouldn't love her? She's so adorable and cute! ^^



This week's mission is to manage a restaurant. They will have to cook and serve 300 customers themselves. All profits will be donated to charity. Popular team are serving tonkatsu while the unpopular team are serving spaghetti. They are selling their food at a steep price of 10,000 won so they have to learn how to cook the food well to make the customers happy with the food they're paying for.



They way they do those hidden cameras are really scary. They look so real! I would be totally fooled too if I'm in that situation. ^^ The preview for next episode reminds me of the American series "The Apprentice" when they did a restaurant challenge. =)

It's the second part of their reporter mission. One team has to go to the police station to report on the current events, and the other team will go to Daldongne to report about heart warming stories.



The police station team started to go around different police department to interview like the call center, forensics, criminal division, etc. They wait for news but it seems nothing news worthy is happening so they even went out to join the patrol cars and talk to the police in the streets monitoring drunk driving.



The charcoal team on the other hand contacted the Charcoal Brothers that deliver charcoal to houses but don't ask for payment from poor families. While conducting the interview, the girls help out a little by delivering the charcoals too. =) In the morning, they also went to the Charcoal Bank to gather more materials and did some volunteer work.



IU's corny jokes that only she can laugh to, LOL! XD I remember when we were young, we used to do jokes like that. ^^ And Hwijae's Z-ski and Mazinger Jet, LOL! XD

The PD asked everyone to come early, for each person that comes, he will be paired with the next person that arrives and they can start their mission at once. This episode's concept is Running Man Sports Competition. If only Gary arrived a little bit earlier, we'll get to see Monday couple in another "date". =(

First mission is to go to SNSD station in Bundang, where they will have to do 60 sit-ups within a minute. 2nd mission is to go to a Yeoju rest stop and buy a drink from a vending machine. Bring back the drink without using their hands, finish it up and shoot the can in the trash bin. For the 3rd mission, each team will be going to a different destination. There they will have to find a senior person to do a speed quiz. He has to answer 5 questions in 1 minute.

And their final destination is Daegu. There they will start to find the guests. The guests will also start with their mission to find the names of running men under people's shoes. Poor Kwang Soo, he set off on his own for all the missions and he's out even before he arrived at the destination. =S

For the final mission, the 3 teams will have to look for the top 5 food in Daegu. The team with the most correct answer wins. IU with her ajhushi fans, LOL! XD

The girls are challenging to become reporters for 2 day. They will gather the news, do the interviews and write their own story within the deadline to be published in the newspaper. Members came in their best reporter attire when suddenly Gong Hyunjin appeared and they all acted like reporters, lol!

To learn more about being reporters, first the girls meet with 3 actual reporters where they can ask questions. For their evaluation, they will be interviewing real celebrities, Cultwo and Psy. They will interview in pairs and each pair were given a topic to ask. Some are pretty sensitive topics that the celebrities might not like. Will the girls be able to do a good job?

After the horse vault competition in the previous episode, their next game is group skipping rope. Members will enter one by one, when all are jumping at the same time, they will sing 2 lines of a song, turn and shout manse then exit. And their final game is track and field.

The next day, 4 little kids came to become friends with the girls. Each team will accompany 2 kids, one team going to the art gallery and the other to horse back riding. It's totally hilarious watching the girls catch up with the energy of the kids, LOL! XD

And finally, they're choosing "the member that you want to be friends with".

The girls came in children's clothes. They are remembering their childhood days in this episode. Going back to the days they were still students and each brought their precious memories of those days.

Next they brought out their lunch boxes. They were given a dictation quiz and a poem writing to determine the team that will get to choose the lunch box they want. After lunch, they played horse vaulting.

I miss this show. I really wish they didn't cancel it. =S

I'm so happy to see Kim Gapsoo in Happy Together! I love the man! Great actor and a great mentor to the new actors. =)

The topic of the show is "Pop Icon Special". When they got to mentioning look-a-likes, they all got worked up when Bongseon said IU looks like her. =P IU sure attracts ajushi fans, just one oppa from her to Kim Gapsoo, made him so happy already! ^^

This is a really funny episode. I laughed so much in so many situations. =D

The 2nd part of the Style concept. Each picked a name and will have to wear the clothes of that person and at the same time act the way they act. I think Yoo Inah's portrayal of Jiyeon is really cute and Nicole's Shin Bongsun is pretty funny. ^^

They were ambushed in their most unexpected time for a photo. These photos were judged by the magazine editor, make-up artist and stylist. They chose the best people in 3 different categories, innocent look, sexy and cuteness. =)
