Bae Yong Joon and Kim Hyun Joon Meet Up

Not a big fan of the above photo concept but that's from their latest released comeback photos. Anyways, well yes, it was said that Yonsama and Jihoo sunbae were seen together and fans are speculating that it could be for talks on a project that Bae Yong Joon is producing.

I'd say Kim Hyun Joong is not the best actor there is but for an idol drama, he sure is the best choice! He's good looking and works the hardest and has a great 4D personality to lighten every mood. ^^

with Hallyu icon actor Bae Yong Joon? They both were spotted tucked away in a corner somewhere in Gangnam, Seoul having an intense conversation around midnight on April 28th. Many questions have arisen regarding what the two (who are 14 years apart in age) could have been meeting about.

There is speculation that Bae Yong Joon might be meeting with Kim Hyun Joong to have him star in a drama that he and JYP have been developing since last year tentatively titled Dream High. In January of 2009, it was announced that Bae Yong Joon and Park Jin Young were starting up a new entertainment company to train and produce new Korean stars. Their idea was to produce dramas to introduce their new proteges to the masses. Park Jin Young would be in charge of auditioning and developing these new stars while Bae Yong Joon would be in charge of all aspects of the drama’s planning and production. Their first project was to be a high school based Kdrama entitled Dream High which was to debut in 2010. Hmm, I see possibilities here.

Many credit Bae Yong Joon and his appearance in Winter Sonata as the force that started the Hallyu wave. Could he be selecting Hyun Joong as his choice to lead the way for the next wave of Hallyu goodness? Yong Joon is huge in Japan and it was reported that the two stars became close in Japan where Hyun Joong visited frequently with his band SS501. It has also been said that Hyun Joong considers Yong Joon as his role model. Although many have questioned the acting skills of Hyun Joong as exhibited in the smash hit of 2009 Boys Over Flowers (which some experts say started the second Hallyu wave after the popularity and hype since Winter Sonata was waning), the fans still loved him. So, if he were to get some acting tips from a pro like Yong Joon and be put into the perfect role, the possibilities are indeed endless.

We’ll have to wait and see if there is indeed anything to come of this ’secret’ meeting, but if you ask me my money’s on Hyun Joong. He is one determined and hardworking guy even with his 4D randomness.

[Variety] Invincible Youth - Episode 16

The groups is going on a winter outing for the very first time! They went ice fishing and it's obvious that the girls enjoyed the experience very much. There were a lot of them who fell down unwillingly but it's all good, everyone had fun. =)

Then they were divided again into two groups. One group is cooking acorn jelly and the other is traditional honey cookies. Both looks so good! Kim Shin Young is really good with her hands, she cuts well and mixes well, she's probably a good cook too. ^^

HeeChul Misses HanKyung TT

Heechul didn't really say that he's talking about Hankyung but with his description, fans guessed it's probably his good buddy Hankyung. They're known to be very close from the time that Hankyung is struggling to be a part of Super Junior. I really hope all these SME issues will come to past really quickly and bring everything back to where they used to be. ~

I can feel Heechul's pain and I'm happy to know that he's actually a very sensitive person too. We always know him as the diva but deep down inside, he knows how to care for his friends too.

Although none of the Super Junior members have publicly spoken up about the situation between SM Entertainment and their Chinese member Hankyung, it seems like they do know what’s going on and they miss him dearly.

On the 28th, Heechul updated one of the photo albums on his minihompy with a anime picture and a long poetic caption. He wrote:

Junsu To Sing for Yoochun's Japan Drama

YooJaeChun sure are getting active in Japan while HoMin are busy in Korea. Junsu will be singing the theme song for Yoochun's acting debut. It's nice to see them helping each other out at all times. =)

Xiah Junsu, who is a member of Dong Bang Shin Ki which recently suspended its activities as a group, sang the theme song for a drama that another member, Micky Yoochun, appears in as a main character.

The newspaper Sankei Sports delivered the news on April 28 that Micky Yoochun will debut as an actor in the mobile broadcasting company Bee TV’s new drama “Beautiful Love - if you are by my side” and that he will act speaking in Japanese. Also, it added that songs by Xiah Junsu, who debuted as a solo singer, were chosen as the theme song for the drama as well as background music.

The drama “Beautiful Love - if you are by my side” is scheduled to air from June 4, which is Michky Yoochun’s birthday, and it will tell the love story between an offspring of a Korean chaebol and a magazine copy writer who wants to be a novel writer. The female lead will be played by Japanese teenage star Omasa Aya (19).

The producer of Micky Yoochun’s debut drama, Azuma Yasuyuki, explained the casting and continued to praise Micky Yoochun, saying, “I could sense that Mick Yoochun would be a new star as an actor when I saw that he had concentrated on his acting. I fell in love with him as an actor and I personally wish that he will appear in Japanese dramas continuously.”

Micky Yoochun, who made his first attempt at acting, said, “It was very difficult, but, at the same time, it was a very pleasant experience. It is amazing that I can have a different life and experience another person’s life while I act. I was impressed.” Also, he revealed his strong ambition towards both acting and singing by saying, “I want to act again, but I also want to sing again as soon as possible.”

Xiah Junsu, who will release his single album entitled “XIAH” on May 26, sang the theme song “If you are by my side - Beautiful Love” and the background song “Intoxication,” which are included in the single album. Xiah Junsu delivered a cheerful message, saying, “Since Micky Yoochun is cast as the main actor and also because the storyline of the drama is very nice, I did my best to sing these songs to brighten up the mood of the drama.”

The Shinee appas are given the challenge to discipline Yoogeun. They started by an example where Taemin apologizes to Key for stepping on his leg. But when they tried it to Yoogeun, he just won't apologize no matter what they do and just leave the room. I guess Shinee appas are not yet ready for discipline lessons for Yoogeun. To discipline a child is probably the hardest for any parent. You have to risk the child not liking you because you don't want to give in to everything he wants or talking to him about things he did not do right.

Next mission is imagination games which is much much easier since it's like playing with the child.

Lee Jun Ki to Enlist on May 3rd

I've heard of the news that Junki is enlisting this year but this news still come to me as a great surprise. It's too soon! I wish he could have at least finished the movie with Kim Tae Hee. With the movie only half way through, I'm afraid they will pick a new leading man for Kim Tae Hee. =(

Anyways, I wish Junki to be healthy and become more manly when he comes back after the service. Hope he will take care of himself more. We'll be waiting for your return Junki-ah! ~

Last week, we reported that there was a possibility that Lee Junki might have to give up on filming the drama Faith due to his army enlistment. It has been confirmed today that he has been dropped from the cast.

The reason was because Lee Junki will be enlisting for the army on May 3rd.

His agency said, “Originally, he was supposed to enlist at the end of this year so he could continue on with his acting. However, we’ve recently received word from the Office of Manpower Administration that it would be hard for him to continue on with acting. He will be enlisted into active duty on May 3rd at Choongnam Nonsan…

With his sudden enlistment, we are trying to quickly resolve his schedule for the movie he is filming now, Grand Prix. Although it appears inevitable that he will leave the movie halfway through filming, we are still looking for solutions. ”

Lee Junki is currently in Yokohama, Japan promoting his drama Hero along with actress Yoon So Yi. They are expected to return home on the 29th.

Get Well Soon Yong~

C.N. Blue's leader, Jung Yonghwa was diagnosed with vocal cord nodule, a sickness in the throat. I hope he will get well soon!

CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yonghwa has been diagnosed with vocal cord nodules.

Jung Yonghwa’s agency, FNC Music expressed, “During the recording of Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate on 21st April, Jung Yonghwa said his throat felt weird so we took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with vocal cord nodules.”

Vocal cord nodules are small growths on the vocal cords that occur due to high levels of stress on the vocal cords (similar to a callus on the hand).

They are commonly referred to as the singer’s nodule. Symptoms include a breathy voice and a hoarse throat.

At the rehearsal recording for Chocolate, Jung Yonghwa repeatedly said that he felt his vocalization was off and that his throat felt weird.

An official said, “The first steps we have to take do not include surgery, the only thing the doctor recommended was that Jung Yonghwa take a break from all activities including CNBLUE’s new album.”

The representative also stated that the nodule was found at a very early stage and should be easily treated with some rest and relaxation. CNBLUE’s original plans for a May comeback will now be slightly delayed as a result.

Thankfully the sickness is not serious and Jung Yonghwa will be back soon. We wish him a fast and safe recovery.

[Variety] Mnet Scandal w/ FT Island's Choi Jong Hun

And the number of hearts getting broken just continue to rise. =P This is an old episode of Mnet Scandal that featured FT Island's leader, Choi Jong Hun.

The girl I think is the most attractive the show ever had, she's slim, pretty and has long straight hair which is what most idols seem to like whenever they were asked about their ideal type. What surprised me the most is that this is probably the most scandalous of all the Mnet scandals I've watched. They kissed in the lips (and forehead, cheeks, etc.), held hands (link arms, etc.) and hugged a whole lot. I fear for the girl right after the show aired. =S

The fans are scary, specially on the last day when Jonghun got back to their company, when the fans started to block his path and told him not to give his number in a threatening tone. Little do they know that these boys actually date (a lot if I may say ^^) and they should just leave them alone. After seeing how Hongki is such a playboy, I don't think the rest of the members are any less innocent, lol! XD

In this episode, the girls learned to plant lettuce and harvest mushrooms. I think they are learning more in this show than they could ever have in their real lives. Who would've thought that idol girls can do farm work with their very own hands? I'm really admiring them more. ^^

Lettuce team and mushroom teams both got to work and both got something good to eat right after. And their final game to for ownership of the lettuce field. The losers will have to take care of the mushroom and make them grow in a week with the help of their other idol members. =)

Lee Yeo Won - as Deokman (later to become Queen Seon Deok) is one of the twin daughters of King Jinpyeong. There was a belief during those times that if a royal family give birth to twins, all male descendants will die, but because the King and his wife cannot bear to kill their daughter, she was sent off to hide with the Queen's maid and was asked not to return again. With the turn of events, she found her way back to the kingdom and fought her right to become Queen.

I'm not a big fan of Lee Yeo Won's acting here simply because she has a look too nice to become a queen. I think it's a big challenge for her to try being firm and strong against all the men surrounding her. I don't blame her though because she has soft features that call for sweetness and pureness.

Go Hyun Jung - as Mishil, a very powerful woman of the Kingdom that has served 3 Kings. She's intelligent and very good at making people follow her. But she got caught up with too much power that she didn't know when to stop anymore. She aimed to become the Queen when Deokman came and fought head on with her for the throne.

Go Hyun Jung won daesangs for her portrayal of Mishil and I think that speaks for itself. She used to play sweet roles but transformed into a totally hateful person in this drama. She played her role so well that viewers actually follow what she will do next. She made the character fully alive and carried the whole drama on her shoulders.

Uhm Tae Woong - as Kim Yoo Shin, a very loyal friend and love one of Deokman. He fell in love with Deokman and chose to stay by her side where ever she goes. He later became a general and pledged his full loyalty to Queen Seon Deok. He played a big role in Deokman's success. He's a very disciplined man that is very righteous and only fight for what he believes to be right.

I always admired Uhm Tae Woong as an actor. He plays his roles with so much passion that you can't help but praise his acting. In this drama, he did the same, but he wasn't able to shine as much because Yushin himself has a pretty boring personality unless he's plotting a way to fight the enemies. Though Yushin is actually a very important part of history, sadly he wasn't able to shine as much because of the other quite unique characters in the drama.

Kim Nam Gil - as Bidam, the son of Mishil and the ousted King Jinji. He was left behind by Mishil when he was still a baby when she realized that she has no use for him anymore. He was raised by a previous general from the Kingdom, Munno. Because he grew up as a free spirited person, he doesn't follow any decorum just his own. A skilled fighter that later also became a high ranking official in Queen Seon Deok's reign. He and Deokman fell in love but was separated by too much deceit by other people surrounding them.

This is the first time I saw Kim Nam Gil's work and he's amazing! I now know what's all the fuzz about him when the drama was airing. He has other works before but this drama sure is his break through acting role that shoot him to fame. The role is vibrant and he played it so well that you can't help but love him. I tried looking up old pictures of him but he sure looks his best in this drama. He's simply gorgeous! I don't think there would be any woman that will not fall for his rough but playful character match it with such good looks, wow! (Sorry I know I'm spazzing, but I just can't help it, I'm so in love with Bidam!!! LOL! XD)

Park Ye Jin - as Princess Chun Myung, the other twin daughter of the King. She is set to take the throne but was unexpectedly killed which made Deokman go back to the Kingdom to take her rightful place. She's in love with Kim Yushin who has always been there for her since her childhood.

I've always seen Yejin as savage Yejin in Family Outing. Seeing her here as a princess is totally new to me. She's not exceptional in her portrayal but did quite okay for me. I miss savage lady Yejin and hope to see more of her in the future.

Yoo Seung Ho - as Kim Chun Chu, the son of Princess Chun Myung. He grew up outside the Kingdom but brought back when his mother died. He is perceived to be weak and not worthy of becoming a King, but is very intelligent and fought to get the throne. He later chose to side with Deokman and shared with her victory.

Yoo Seung Ho played younger versions of Kings before, but this time, he's actually playing a King's successor and not just a younger version of them. I was looking forward to watching him and he didn't disappoint. I know he can still do better, but for now, I'm happy with what he can give. He's still young and I still believe that he will become one of the biggest actors in Korea in the future. Surely the next Jang Dong Gun, Song Seung Hun, So Ji Sub on the rise.

Summary:

The drama is set in the Silla dynasty before the 3 great kingdoms of Korea was united. The great King Jin Heung died which shook the whole Kingdom that caused the shift in power. King Jin Heung knew that Mishil is very intelligent but no one can control her when he's gone so he prepared an order to her to be killed. But it didn't happen after his death, instead, Mishil was able to manipulate the whole Kingdom and put a new King of her choosing. Her power reigned until another King was seated and his wife bore a twin, Princess Chun Myung and Deokman.

Deokman was raised by a palace maid and was not aware that she's from a royal family. But fate brought her back to the Kingdom where she met her sister and real parents. She wanted to continue living a normal life until her sister got killed and she chose to fight for her rightful place in the throne to avenge her sister's death.

During her struggle for power with Mishil, she's lucky to have 3 very loyal friends, Kim Yushin, Alcheon and Bidam with her that brought her to victory. But with this power comes the consequence of not finding love. She fell in love twice but has to abandon both for the love of her country. She was first loved by Yushin and she also fell in love with him. They both chose not to pursue their love for the sake of their people and country. She fell in love the 2nd time with Bidam, but with Bidam's complicated life, he was unstable and didn't know who to believe. They ended up fighting with each other resulting to a tragic ending to their love story.

I love the drama! I really did, because with 62 episodes, I watched each episode religiously everyday and that says much. I usually like short dramas better (that's why I love watching Japanese dramas) because they're fast paced and direct to the point. What made me watch all 62 episodes of Queen Seon Deok is because of it's interesting ups and downs and great acting by the cast.

From episode1 up to the middle of the series, no dull moment at all. It has gotten a bit slow in the middle when most of the talking were done to explain different plots and strategies but it's okay. You still will get moments of excitement in every episode that will make you want to continue watching. It's just sad that it has to have a tragic love story ending that makes me so sad. I can't understand why a Queen can't fall in love. =S Though I'm for Deokman-Yushin pairing from the very start, I was also happy when Queen Seon Deok chose to marry Bidam just so she can be happy. But I guess matters of the heart comes second to being a Queen. Anyways, it's still a good drama that is worthy to be watched. =)

Park Yoochun in a Korean Historical Drama

Another drama that I'm looking forward to watching with DBSK's Micky Yoochun, now as an actor. With so many idols going into acting, I sure hope this one will do good in the ratings. =)

Actor Song JoongGi will be working with TVXQ's Micky YooChun.

Song JoongGi has been casted together with Micky YooChun as the main characters for upcoming drama ‘SeongGyunKwan Scandal’.

An official from Lemon Rain revealed on 23rd April, “Song JoongGi and Micky YooChun will be part of the pretty boys quartet in the upcoming drama.”

Historical drama ‘SeongKyunKwan Scandal’ is based off the bestseller novel ‘The Lives of SeongKyunKwan Confucian Scholars’.

The casting for the drama will end within this month and the filming will start next month.

Shinees appas prepared a new activity for Yoogeun. They noticed that he's been staying home a lot so they decided to bring him out. Taemin suggested that they have a picnic but with the unfortunate weather, it's raining and they can't possibly push through with the picnic.

So they just went inside a school and played games there.
